Introduction to Sublime
Basic Overview of the third party software we are going to use to for our script. If you have done any previous scripting you will probably have already switched to use your own prefered script interface. What ever you chose is good for me. Have you never done any kind of scritping but chose to go with the course anyways then I suggset you just try to follow along as closely as you possible can and hit me up with a mail if you ger too stuck!
Introduction to Python Dictionaries
Its a quick lecture because I did not previously touch on the subject of python dictionaries. The subject is very large and a major powerful feature in python so we are only touching the surface here. However its always good to start becomming aware of a bigger world then the one you know so you can begin to expand on your knowledge.
The actual course
We begin in Maya taking a look at what we are actually trying to achieve. Then we continue to talk about structure and setup. Thought process when starting a project like this. How we have to remember that the UI it self is not important but the code lying beneath is is what we need to focus on. Its no use we have a pretty UI if our bulk code is worthless or buggy. So lets get the code right together and then focus on making the buttons pretty later! Lets go!
Kasper Larsson In Short Words
I have worked in the film industry and as Computer Graphics instructor and have there fore experience not only in the industry but also on how to communicate that to someone who has not. I will be able to put myself in your place and understand your struggles because I have seen it before. There is not a problem we cannot solve together.
Some Of The Titles I Have Wrapped
- Star Wars - Episode 8
- Avengers 2 - Age Of Ultron
- Warcraft - The Beginning
- Guardians Of The Galaxy
- Amazing Spider Man 2
On top I have worked in Virtual Reality, Commercials and on-set as a pre-visualisation asset builder, in both Pinewood and Leavesden Studios.
WHAT SETS THIS COURSE APART?
Basically you will be sitting next to me and watching how I build the code. I do copy paste some of my old code into the setup so we do not lose focus on what we are doing. I want you to focus on understanding structure more then placing a parenthesise correct. That stuff comes second. If you understand what you are building you will have a way greater chance of completing.
